A wonderful set of six 4 pronged forks dating to 1734.

At this time you would expect these forks to be 3 pronged.  These have clearly been influenced by the French design of the time. London made probably Caleb Hill

Family crest and motto for the Dundas family/clan and reputedly came out of Blair Castle.

The marks are sadly rubbed but the tines are in excellent shape and the spoons are a good weight. 13.94 ozs overall condition excellent.

length 18.5 cm
